You Can Do Anything You Want

You Can Do Anything You Want is not just the title of the book. It is the essence of my own philosophy of life, which I wanted to pass on, and which was also the impetus to start writing this book one fine day. And even though some time has passed since its publication and I am currently working on two books, both of which are somewhat different in style from this inspiring guide, I would like to mention it here at the beginning of my blog.
After all, it was the first book that really “started” my journey as a writer, but most importantly, the path on which I wanted to inspire and encourage others not to be afraid to follow their dreams, passions, themselves and go after what they feel from their hearts. This was exactly what I myself followed when I decided to step into this completely new and unknown direction.

But it was far from the first time that I threw myself into something new, mainly due to the feeling that I was supposed to go this way and some kind of inner assurance that this is what I was supposed to do right now. One can never be sure whether it will be for the rest of their life or if one day they will wake up with the urge to change direction, which is absolutely fine, but whenever you feel the feeling of going after something, you should follow it.
This book was first published in my homeland, in the Czech Republic, but it was not published by a publisher. I published it myself. And why? I followed the feeling that this is exactly what I should do.
I had one experience with publishing a book by a well-known Czech publisher, it was my first - and to this day only - novel Ten Wishes, and there was nothing wrong with that experience, I just felt that I would do it differently with the next book. I felt the need for more freedom in this new field, even though I knew nothing about book publishing until then.
And actually, the same could be said about writing. I mean, I didn't study writing. But I've been writing for a long time. Because I enjoy it and because I feel like it. Actually, you could say that I "study" as I go, both on my own, because everyone improves through practice, no matter what it is. And then, of course, by reading.
I'm an avid reader and I don't see books just as a source of relaxation. I like to read several books at once. Not all at once, I mean that I usually have several books from different genres and mostly in different languages. I learn by doing what I enjoy, without feeling like I'm spending time "learning". It's a combination of the pleasant with the useful.
My approach to life is also reflected here: you can do anything you want. If you want, of course. You just need to find a form that suits you and that you enjoy, and then everything will go more easily and it will be fun and not something you don't want to do.
But I've already strayed too far from the original idea for today's article. Today I just wanted to remind anyone who reads these words by chance or otherwise that trusting your own feelings, no matter what, following your own instincts and the voice of your heart is what's worth it. And what you enjoy. Always. Not doing it leads in the opposite direction.
And I too spent a lot of time hesitating and putting off a lot of dreams, pretending not to hear my own heart, doing things that I didn't enjoy or that I didn't agree with, and so on. But that's exactly what made it clear to me what's worth spending time and energy on in life.
So, if you are facing a decision or are hesitating or not confident enough, ask yourself honestly, what do you want? You will hear the answer if you want to hear it. And then it is up to you.
And if you need some support on your journey, this book could go with you. But of course you can do it without it. You can do whatever your heart desires. That much is clear!
