Solstice And the Art of Balancing

In recent days, I have felt a strong need to spend as much time as possible with myself. Not "alone", but in the company of myself. Paradoxically, but at the same time, this need arises as a balance to the omnipresent signs of Christmas, which encourage us to spend time together, to celebrate and enjoy ourselves together with others.
Both are necessary for happiness and both are good, but we always have to balance it. Sharing our time and energy with others and devotine our time and energy to ourselves.

As a creative soul and a writer, I definitely need time alone and I need it also for inspiration, because I don't create with my head, but I write down what comes to me. From somewhere that I can't exactly describe, but I know that if I don't spend enough time alone, I don't perceive this hint.
Today is the solstice, a time of new beginnings, and so, not only for myself, but for everyone, I wish that we always know how to balance our inner needs, whatever they may be, and that they ensure that we always feel peace of mind and the necessary inspiration for any steps.
I spent this morning in my own company and I feel directly doped with fresh energy, my head cleared, as if I had opened the windows there. And now I'm looking forward to the picnic on the beach, which we spontaneously decided to organize in honor of today's solstice. We will watch the sunset, which from tomorrow will start returning on its own path and will give us a minute more light every day.
Life is magical. I am always fascinated when I stop for a moment and think about something that happens by itself, but which is not at all ordinary. Like the stars at night, or the fact that the sun sets at exactly the right time every day, or that everything in the Universe flows by itself, without needing any application, programs, or human help...
Life is magical. And yet, we often forget about it because of our concentration and devoting time to things that are not at all important. And so, realizing all these miracles, including the fact that we are here, alive and can spend our time on all the things that truly matter, could perhaps be one of the resolutions not only from the new year, but from today, when the solstice is, another miracle, repeating every year, to the minute.
A magical solstice and every day of every year!
